چکیده

Industrial processes often involve a long time delay, which adversely affects the stability of closed-loop control systems. The traditional Smith Predictor (SP) is model-based controller used in with large delays. variation system parameters and load disturbance situations are disadvantages SP, researchers have, therefore, proposed modified SP structures. In this paper, design method based on direct synthesis approach structure discussed. design, an I-PD set-point tracking side cascading PD lead–lag rejection side. contrast other studies literature, use simpler controllers enables mathematical expressions that arise to be significantly reduced. examined under input effects for normal parameter-changing conditions models unstable second-order plus time-delay processes. first plant model has two poles, second one stable pole, third zero pole. When results obtained using were compared methods, significant improvements achieved terms tracking, rejection, robustness conditions.

Teleoperation Systems Design Using Augmented Wave - Variables and Smith Predictor Method for Reducing Time - Delay Effects

The performance of a wave-based teleoperator is heavily dependent on the amount of time delay present in the system. Although wave variables provide a very promising method to establish teleoperation in the presence of any time delay, tracking error in a wave-based teleoperator will be increased by increasing time delay. In this paper, we introduce a new method for reducing time delay effects i...

Neural-Smith Predictor Method for Improvement of Networked Control Systems

Networked control systems (NCSs) are distributed control systems in which the nodes, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and plants are connected by a digital communication network such as the Internet. One of the most critical challenges in networked control systems is the stochastic time delay of arriving data packets in the communication network among the nodes. Using the Smith predic...

Smith Predictor Based Neural Controller with Time-delay Estimation

A neural control strategy for nonlinear processes with time-variant time-delay is proposed in this paper. In this strategy, a dynamic neural network based nonlinear Smith predictor is constructed to compensate for the effect of time-delay of a class of nonlinear processes. An on-line optimizing controller is illustrated based on the neural Smith predictor. It is known that the performance of th...

Fractional order robust adaptive intelligent controller design for fractional-order chaotic systems with unknown input delay, uncertainty and external disturbances

In this paper, a fractional-order robust adaptive intelligent controller (FRAIC) is designed for a class of chaotic fractional order systems with uncertainty, external disturbances and unknown time-varying input time delay. The time delay is considered both constant and time varying. Due to changes in the equilibrium point, adaptive control is used to update the system's momentary information a...
